Nobody hired me to design. I started at the registry desk, lived the problems daily, and started building. The title caught up later.

If a tool doesn't cut the task by at least half the clicks, it isn't worth the retraining friction. The bar for shipping is a meaningful improvement, not a marginal one.
The best signal a product works is people opening it first thing in the morning without being told to. Compliments are nice. Usage is evidence.
